I started doing this for a few different companies and I can tell you that this is a mutual beneficial way of doing business. My clients truly love this concept as there is no upfront cost that they have to fork out. I carry the cost of registering the domain name, setting up the website and marketing it online. I do not take on just any customer in this regard as my upfront costs are quite high. Just to give you an idea it takes approximately 130 hours of work before it starts to pay dividends for me.

The beautiful part about it for the customer is that they’re not paying per click but only paying for an actual inquiry. The other day I ran a test for a company in the insurance sector and I am very happy with the results so far. They are also ecstatic as they are getting leads every single day to hand over to the sales staff. The closing ratio of the leads the supplied so far has averaged out at above 25%. This just means that the quality of leads supplied is very good.

The quality of the leads I provide are very good for one reason and one reason only. Who in their right mind would logon to Google take their time to search for a product or service unless they were truly in the market? The concept here is very similar to the leads you would have received from the old yellow pages. The difference being is that you’re not paying a set monthly fee for a contact period but paying for only the leads that comes through.

I always advise my customers that it is still better for me to take over their search engine marketing because in the long run it to be more cost effective. Also if you look at it, I own the site and all the work that has been put into it so it is actually better for me in the long run. If I find a category on the different search engines that is wide open up often set up a site and start marketing it until it produces leads. Once I do this I then start to approach companies in that industry who will be interested in these leads. A few times Companies have offered to buy my lead generation site and then contract me to do a search engine optimization.

It is amazing when you have the number one spot in Google to see who would actually want that. I think every business person would like their website to be ranked on the first page if not number one on the different top search engines. With the volume of searches made on the difference search engines it truly is an amazing place to be. Companies can start looking at all the other advertising costs in their budget and start cutting these back.

Just an example for you in South Africa 1900 people searched for civil engineers using the top search engines. This is actually amazing to know isn’t it? Every potential customer that comes to me I do a free analysis for them so that we are both aware of the market depth online. There is no reason to guess as all of this information is freely available to those that no where to get it, and are prepared to do the work.
